Leah

Leah was born in Kingwood WV. And has been living the life of a native river rat; having been born and raised beside the Cheat River. She has been working at Appalachian Wildwaters for the experience, laughs, fun times and coveniency of it being close to her house.
In the wintertime you'll find Leah attending WVU and working. She also skis every chance she gets! Leah's hobbies include: jumping off rocks and bridges, swimming, living life to it's fullest and trying to have a good time!

Favorite River Story:Taking a New River Overnight with Nicole- "One of my first and best trips!"
Favorite River Trip: Can't decide- They're all fun and a blast. Everyone needs the rafting experience at least once in their life.

Amanda

Amanda was born in Akron, OH, moved to Kingwood, WV, and now attends West Virginia University School of Nursing. Six years ago, Amanda applied for a summer job here and she keeps coming back, no matter how hard we try to chase her off. She is a frequent rafter of the New and Gauley, and she waits patiently for each school year to be over, so she can head back to the river.
Gifted with the ability to spin a flag like nobody's business and building 7 layer cakes, Amanda's dream is to become the next American Idol or the famous "Love Goddess". In 5 years, Amanda hopes to be graduated from Nursing school, have a Master's in Athletic Training and making 300+ men in the NFL cry with a single touch!

With 5 years of rafting under her belt, Amanda's favorite river memories include: Sleeping under the stars on an upside down raft, on a New River Overnight, while being stared at by creepy owls; and being the only person not to swim when her boat flipped at Pillow Rock on the Upper Gauley.

Miranda

Miranda was born in Tunnelton, WV.She began working for Appalachian Wildwaters because no one else appreciates her unique abilties... i.e. x-ray vision, and the abiltiy to achieve warp speed in a Ford Focus...
In the winter you'll find Miranda doing a whole lot of nothing! Working at Best Buy and attending college take up most of her spare time. Her hobbies include taking pictures, reading, being Kris's sidekick in exposing the dark underbelly of Rowlesburg Society, and taking spontaneous road trips to GOD knows where!

Favorite River Story: Sleeping on a upside down raft with Amanda and a guide who will remain nameless and I once got into a raft on the Upper Gauley and the guide looked at us and said "Alright, we're going to paddle together or swim together; either way we're going down this river." Yep, it was a confidence builder.

Zach

Zach started working for Appalachian Wildwaters as a summer job to help pay for college (He attends WVU) and libations. In the winter you'll find him going to class, building snow forts and singing karoke to his two favorite rap stars "MC Hammer" and "Vanilla Ice".
His hobbies include: rafting, boating, studing astronomy and destroying Miranda's desk!
Zach's favorite river story: Always remember sunscreen! He received 2nd Degree Sunburn doing a New River Overnight Trip and couldn't complete the 2nd day of rafting. He's now a known activist for Sunblock.
Favorite River Trip:Surviving the Upper Yough by the skin of his teeth and rafting the Upper Gauley.
