Fall Gauley Whitewater Rafting Day TripsWV Rafting on the Gauley River! Rafting on the Gauley River in the Fall is a great way to experience world class whitewater! You can choose between two great experiences - Adventure Class or World Class. Your Fall Gauley River rafting adventure will be a trip you'll come back for year after year. Want to try something new but are unsure if we offer the trip? Just call and ask. One of our trained whitewater consultants will help you out! On selected days in September and October, scheduled releases from the Summersville Dam turn the river into an astounding experience! The Upper Gauley section is one unrelenting Class V section after another, and the Lower Gauley is a spectacular whitewater dream. Sweet's Falls Rapids is the last of the "big five" rapids on the Upper Gauley. There is a spectacular view of the rapids from the right shore, and Appalachian Wildwaters has exclusive use of that beautiful lunch spot on the sunny side of the river. 2008 Gauley Dates!

With 13 miles of action packed class IV and V+ whitewater, the Upper is a must-do for any experienced whitewater enthusiast.
