High Adventure Camps
Appalachian Wildwaters has over 35 years experience offering rafting adventures in the Appalachian Mountains of southern West Virginia. In addition to rafting, we offer outdoor activities including mountain biking, rock climbing, and horseback riding. Located just off US Rt. 19 in Fayetteville,West Virginia, with its numerous hiking trails, this area is a perfect setting for an outdoor camp for your scouts.
The New River has two sections. The Lower New (minimum age 12) is Adventure Class with fun, rollercoaster waves.The Upper New (minimum age 6) is Family Class with small, playful waves.The Summer Middle Gauley is an Adventure Class trip (suggested minimum age 12).
